I have been trying to set up Maths tasks but seems to be an issue currently, please hang on in there and I will try and solve the issue, you should still be able to access it but it just means you may not have tasks allocated to you .

Maths: Complete the tasks
that have been set for you. If you have highlighted times table that need to be
learnt please look at practising those too. Please also think about what you
have been learning about sugar this week. See what other foods you can find and
calculate the amounts of sugar by teaspoons. Remember that 5g is roughly 1 teaspoon.

Reading: Have a look at
the following website http://www.nutritionfoundation.org.nz/ this link can be found on the class blog.
Read the website, what does it teach you? What questions arise from reading it? Using the comprehension sheet I have provided
use the page named nutrition facts, food groups to help you find answers to the
questions I’ve asked. Remember to answer in full sentences.
Extra: Design a plate of
food and explain your reasoning. Use the template to show your food choices and
use your new learnt knowledge from the website http://www.nutritionfoundation.org.nz/
to help inform your choices.
Writing: Thinking about
what you read for reading, use your knowledge
to explain your reasoning for your plate design and percentage of food choices.
Why so much dairy, carbohydrates, protein and fruit and vegetables. This can be
written as a paragraph, please ensure that you edit and check your work for SSV
( subject specific vocabulary), punctuation and sentence structure.

Welcome Back to Term 2
Welcome back to term 2 and have we got lots to look forward to :)
We will be starting to look at the new concept of Enterprise this term and making links to nutrition and the food industry.
We have two different guest speakers coming in to talk to you and a trip to the local supermarket is planned for Week 3. Letters are coming out today.
